Healthcare-Associated Infections Prevention and Control

In this module you will learn that multidisciplinary group implements, and monitors health care associated infection prevention and control program.
This module will help you understand the basic concepts of surgery and prevention of surgical site infection in your organization. You will obtain an overview of healthcare-associated infections, its prevention and control. You will acquire knowledge on patient safety, leading causes of death, scenario of accredited and non-accredited hospitals in India, definition of healthcare of associated infections (HCAI). You will also learn about sources of HCAI, risk factor, designing a program, its objectives, formulation of polices and related terms.
This module will guide you through scope of infection prevention program, setting priorities, risk assessment, prioritize risks, monitoring areas other related terms.
