About the Course:

This on-line course has been designed and drafted to provide detailed information regarding understanding and implementation of the ISO 15189:2012 standard and targets Laboratory managers, quality managers and frontline staff responsible for implementation of a quality management system in a medical testing laboratory. The module has been divided into 12 modules covering not only all the clauses of the standard, but also the areas which otherwise are poorly understood, for example, Total quality management, risk assessment, etc.

What you will learn: 

The Course provides an in depth knowledge regarding various clauses of the standard and after taking this on
line course, one shall be able to:

  • Understand the requirements for the accreditation of medical testing laboratories.

  • Implement the requirements of ISO 15189 including NABL 112 supplementary requirements to ones’ own laboratory

  • Identify the purpose and interaction of a quality management system covering both managerial and technical requirements

  • Implement these requirements to ensure added service to the laboratory users with enhanced confidence in the laboratory results

Certification Benefit: 

After completing this program, the participants will be able to appreciate the basic concept of accreditationand acquire knowledge/ understanding about the documentation and implementation of management system in medical testing laboratory based on management and technical requirements stipulated in ISO 15189: 2012.

Note: This 7 hours course can be completed in 3 months.

Type of examination: It will be a computer based examination which will include multiple choice questions (MCQ). The said questions will be from the topics covered in the course.
